Hoffman Racing announced Wednesday Brady Bacon will pilot the legendary No. 69 in USAC Sprint Car competition next season.
The 22-year-old Oklahoma native drove for Hoffman in a limited number of events during the 2011 and 2012 seasons with one victory at West Memphis in September.
“I am very excited about piloting the Hoffman Racing 69 in USAC for the 2013 season,” Bacon said in a statement. “We have had great success together in the few races that we have had together and I am looking forward to competing for a USAC championship. It is an honor to drive for a team with such rich history in open wheel racing.”
Hoffman Racing owns 88 USAC National wins and nine championships with drivers such as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Tracy Hines, J.J. Yeley, Kasey Kahne, Kenny Irwin, Rich Vogler, Dave Darland, Johnny Parsons, Jr., Tim Richmond, Jay Drake, Brian Tyler, Robbie Stanley, Eric Gordon, Steve Butler, Jerry Coons, Jr., Ryan Newman, Dave Steele, George Snider, Tom Bigelow, Shorty Templemen, Don Branson, Eddie Sachs, Bill Puterbaugh, Elmer George, Pancho Carter, Roger Ward, Andy Michener and Kyle Larson wheeling the No. 69
