If you’re an avid watcher of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Banquet, you probably didn’t forget last year when event emcee Jay Mohr took a lighthearted jab at Danica Patrick during his opening monologue, saying, “Danica, I hope you’re not too uncomfortable tonight. I know you’re not used to being this close to the front.”

In his initial season with Stewart-Haas Motorsports Kevin Harvick scored his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship after winning the season-closing Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday.

Matt Kenseth didn’t have the best car for much of the race and he had to overcome a string of late-race restarts. However, in the end it was Kenseth who was able to cross the start-finish line first to score his first NASCAR Nationwide Series race of the year.
