Kyle Busch Wins O'Reilly 200 At Bristol

kyle-buschKyle Busch came from the back of the pack to win the O'Reilly 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway Wednesday night, his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory of 2010. "Rowdy" scored the pole but had to start from the rear of the field because the KBM crew worked on the truck after qualifying.

Busch Earns NASCAR Truck Pole At Bristol

kyle-buschKyle Busch circled the 0.533-mile Bristol Motor Speedway at 122.968 mph in qualifying to earn the pole for Wednesday night's O’Reilly 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event. Busch will have to start from the rear of the field after his crew made repairs to the engine in the KBM Toyota following his pole run.

 

James Buescher qualified second in a Chevrolet Silverado with a lap of 122.733 mph, followed by Elliott Sadler in the KHI No. 2, Johnny Sauter and Ron Hornaday, Jr.

Bristol Schedule For NASCAR'S Top Three Series

bristol-motor-speedwayThe NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck Series are all in Bristol this week, where they will collectively run 950 crowd pleasing laps by the time the checkered flag waves Saturday night.

 

Action begins Wednesday at the "World's Fastest Half Mile," with the Camping World Truck Series taking to the high-banks at 10 a.m. for the first of three practice sessions. Final practice for Truck Series teams will be from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m., qualifying begins at 2:45 p.m. and the O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 is televised live on SPEED at 7:30 p.m.

Ambrose Signs Multi-Year Contract With RPM

marcos-ambroseRichard Petty Motorsports announced today Marcos Ambrose has signed a multi-year contract to drive the No. 9 Ford in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series beginning with the 2011 season. Stanley will sponsor the team.

 

"I'm very excited to join Richard Petty Motorsports," said Ambrose. "It's an incredible honor to be able to race for a legend like The King and be a part of this organization. I'm also happy to be back with Ford Racing. The No. 9 team has been a very successful team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. With the support of Ford and everyone at RPM, I believe we can continue that tradition of success. I'm also excited to join forces with Stanley."
