This year, Richmond International Raceway will kick of the 2009 holiday season with the speedway’s sixth annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 1 at 7pm EST, and track president Doug Fritz has extended an invitation to all hardcore race fans wishing to attend.
The ceremony will feature the lighting of the track’s Christmas tree, music and fun on the track's front yard on the corner of Laburnum Ave. and Richmond-Henrico Turnpike/Meadowbridge Rd. |

In addition to the other countless gift options this holiday season, New Hampshire Motor Speedway has placed the remaining tickets for the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event on sale.
With the tracks renewals concluded, the track is prepared to give hardcore race fans a great time for the track's 20th anniversary in the Cup Series. Tickets for the June 24-27 weekend will go on sale on December 1 starting at the low price of $39. |

After months of speculation regarding a possible switch to NASCAR for IndyCar driver Danica Patrick, GoDaddy.com is advertising a “BIG” announcement regarding Patrick scheduled for Monday, November 30th.
Patrick, who recorded her one and only IndyCar win so far in 2008 at the Indy Japan 300, has been rumored to be in contract negotiations with JR Motorsports, owned by NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. Earnhardt’s former driver in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Brad Keselowski, was sponsored by GoDaddy.com. However, GoDaddy.com is also a secondary sponsor for Patrick in the IndyCar Series meaning that this announcement may not be the confirmation of a NASCAR ride so many people have been talking about. Patrick did acknowledge on her Twitter page that she was headed to New York for an announcement regarding her 2010 plans. |

Tomorrow, November 30, 2009 is the deadline for creditors to file claims in hopes of receiving monies owed from General Motors, now Motors Liquidation Co.
As of today, Dale Earnhardt, Inc., JR Motorsports, The California Speedway Corp. (Auto Club Speedway), Daytona International Speedway, LLC, and Richmond International Raceway, LLC have all filed claims against the automobile manufacturer. |
