Stock cars and legendary NASCAR drivers will return to Darlington Raceway Labor Day weekend 2008 to celebrate the inaugural Darlington Historic Racing Festival scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 29th and 30th.

NASCAR champions Ned Jarrett and Bobby Allison have announced they will be attending this historic event along with former car owner Ray Fox and MRN broadcaster Barney Hall.

Jarrett, Allison and Fox are scheduled to participate in question and answer sessions, moderated by Hall, as well as autograph sessions that will take place during the two day festival.

"Ned, Bobby, Ray and Barney will certainly have some great stories to share with race fans and make great additions to our list of racing legends participating in the Darlington Historic Racing Festival," said Darlington Raceway President, Chris Browning. "We are grateful to have so many racing legends participating in this historic event at Darlington."

Other legends committing to appear include former driver "Chargin'" Charlie Glotzbach, former crew chief and engine builder Waddell Wilson and former car owner Raymond Parks with all agreeing to conduct autograph sessions during the weekend festivities.

Darlington Raceway officials have worked very hard to create this unique event and should be commended for assembling a stellar list of NASCAR personalities to once again visit the "Lady In Black" on a Labor Day weekend.

Tickets are available at the Darlington Raceway ticket office, 866-459-RACE or online at www.darlingtonraceway.com/tickets/.

I can't wait to head to Darlington for Labor Day weekend this year and encourage all other Hardcore Race Fans to do the same. This is one you won't want to miss.
