Tony Stewart Donates Winnings To Flood Victims
Monday, 16 June 2008 19:00

Tony Stewart’s fifth place finish on Sunday was dedicated to the flood victims in Columbus, Indiana.

Feeling the need to support his home state, Stewart donated his ration of the $136,986 to the American Red Cross.

"I'm happy we got a top five for everyone in Columbus and that we can do something to help our community out," Stewart said after Sunday's race.

"It's been on my mind all weekend. That's what this top five is for," he said. "When it's your own community and your own neighbors, it's good to generate a good amount of winnings for them."

Out of the winnings, Stewart  collected approximately $55,000.
