Haas CNC Racing to Pull the Old Switch-a-Roo at Infineon
Wednesday, 18 June 2008 19:00

Road-course specialist Max Papis will drive the No. 66 Chevrolet Impala in place of Scott Riggs in an attempt to propel the No. 66 team into the Top-35 in owner points.

Scott Riggs is set to jump from one seat to another, in which he will pilot the No. 70 Haas CNC Racing Impala.

"I’m very excited to have this opportunity.” “After testing for Hendrick Motorsports and developing more knowledge about the COT, I’m proud and honored to carry over that experience to the Haas CNC Racing program,” Papis said of his opportunity to drive in this year’s road-course events for Haas CNC Racing.

The No. 66 is only seven points out of the Top-35 while the No. 70 is 496 points out.

A solid finish at Infineon will be exactly what the team needs to jump into the Top-35 in order to be guaranteed a spot in each race. Papis is Haas CNC’s best shot at producing that solid finish.

Although he has not raced at Infineon, Papis averages a finish of 18.3 in NASCAR road course events at tracks such as Montreal, Mexico City and Watkins Glen since 2006.
