Despite talk throughout the media and the grandstands, team owner Richard Childress today downplayed rumors that Jack Daniel's was leaving the No. 07 Chevrolet driven by Clint Bowyer.

"Jack Daniel's and Richard Childress Racing have a contract through the 2009 season," Childress confirmed. "Any reports in the media to the contrary are simply not accurate."

The team is scheduled to make a sponsorship announcement and car unveiling this afternoon at the Chicagoland Speedway. Whether we will learn more about who will pilot the team's fourth car next year or simply see the new No. 31 Caterpillar sponsored Chevrolet is yet to be determined.
