Bryan Clauson had intentions of participating in the Bank of America 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway this past Saturday. With rain cancelling qualifying, Clauson was unable to make the race.
Clauson will have another shot to qualify for a race when the Cup Series journeys to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Pep Boys 500. With Atlanta known to produce some strange weather in the past, Clauson will have his fingers crossed.
“We hope it doesn’t rain,” Clauson said. “It was frustrating, as good a test as we had out here. The guys went back and worked really hard on that car, and the motor shop did an awesome job, giving us a motor to come back with. We felt like we wouldn’t have any problem getting in the show. To not get to go out there and turn a lap, let alone make an attempt, was really frustrating.”
