This season it seems the most dominating headline next to Kyle Busch has been Mother Nature. With rain looking to ruin a full day of action at the Martinsville Speedway, Mother Nature seems to be putting herself in position to steal the headlines once again.
Rain has cancelled qualifying for the Cup Series in three of the last six races (Richmond, Loudon and last weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway). With green taking up the majority of radar screen today, it looks as if we can add Martinsville to that list. With practice scheduled for both the Cup Series and the Craftsman Truck Series, as well as qualifying for the Cup guys, the on-track action has already been delayed. As of 11:30 am E.T. Cup qualifying is still scheduled for 3:40 pm E.T., but with the rain still coming down and no track drying efforts being made it appears Mother Nature is going to steal the headlines once again this weekend.
Make sure you check back to HardcoreRaceFans.com all weekend long for all of the latest updates live from the Martinsville Speedway.
