A New Partnership Is Taking Off
Saturday, 15 November 2008 09:36

Air Force officials have announced that they will abort their operation at Wood Brothers Racing and make way to Gillett Evernham Motorsports to sponsor the No. 10 Dodge in 2009 with Reed Sorenson behind the wheel.

Despite their departure from the Wood Brothers, the Air Force is glad to have had the opportunity to be alongside the organization.

“The Air Force is proud of the partnership we have had with the Wood Brothers Racing,” said Col. Timothy Hanson, Air Force Recruiting Service director of Strategic Communications. “They are perhaps the most respected team in NASCAR and they have been strong supporters of the Air Force. While our sponsorship has changed we will always value the services they have provided us.”

Tom Reddin, CEO of Gillett Evernham Motorsports, is glad to have the Air Force on board next year.

“We are honored to have the Air Force join Gillett Evernham Motorsports,” said Reddin. “I can think of no other group of people who we would rather represent than the men and women who serve our country. This race team and Reed Sorenson plan to make those who wear the Air Force uniform proud. We welcome the Air Force to the Gillett Evernham Motorsports family.”
