Plans for Denny Hamlin’s Grille 11, originally scheduled to set up shop in Salisbury, NC, have returned to the garage for further evaluation.

Salisbury Mall officials told HardcoreRaceFans.com that Celebrity Ventures, Inc., “changed their mind, and are going to locate it somewhere else.”

Hamlin’s partner, Bob McCarthy vice president of concept development for Celebrity Ventures recently indicated that the developers are searching for locations in the Concord Mills Mall and the surrounding Charlotte area, which would be closer to Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

McCarthy said Celebrity Ventures had planned to invest approximately 1.2 million in upgrading the Salisbury location. "If we're going to spend that kind of money, we wanted to make sure it met our expectations," said McCarthy. "We needed to do it right and do it 100 percent. We firmly believe in our product."
