Friday, 12 December 2008 08:42

Move over Mario, the boys of NASCAR are taking to the track in the newest game for the Wii console. Electric Arts Inc. announced recently the first and only NASCAR related game available for the Nintendo Wii. Due to hit stores February 10, 2009, NASCAR Kart Racing is sure to be fun for the entire family.

Players can choose between fourteen of their favorite drivers, or take to the track as one of the ten original characters. Just as in real life, each driver has their own distinct personality and attributes, and as always, teamwork is key.

There are 24 different race layouts that encompass every type of terrain. Fans can race on four different NASCAR tracks including, Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Dover International Speedway and the Bristol Super Speedway. As an added plus, each course can be run backwards, offering additional challenges with each course.

In order to become a champion in NASCAR Kart Racing, you have to compete in thirteen series against different drivers from different backgrounds. Defeating rivals unlocks new courses, drivers and game modes, as well as the next race in the series.

Available in stores just in time for the start of the 2009 season, EA Sports' NASCAR Kart Racing for the Wii console is sure to appeal to Hardcore Race Fans of all ages. The game has been rated E for Everyone by the ESRB for "Comic Mischief". For more information on the game, including screen shots and video clips of game-play, be sure to visit www.easports.com/kartracing.
