The National Motorsports Press Association announced on Friday their 2009 officers and Board of Directors.
The National Motorsports Press Association consists of qualified members of the media who report on the sport of auto racing through his or her affiliation with print, radio, television or the Internet news organizations. Members of the organization are dedicated to maintaining high journalistic standards and promoting one of the most popular sporting endeavors in the United States.
Landmark Newspapers writer, Dustin Long took over as President, while NASCAR Scene's Associate Editor, Jeff Gluck stepped into the role of Vice President. Bob Pockrass of the NASCAR Scene will take over as the Secretary/Treasurer and Bridget Holloman will serve as the Executive Secretary. Serving on the NMPA Board of Directors for 2009 include: Rea White, Associate Editor, NASCAR Scene; David Griffin, Assistant Photo Editor, NASCAR Scene; Doug Rice, President and General Manager, Performance Racing Network; Mike Hembree, Associate Editor, NASCAR Scene; Brett McMillan, Pit Reporter for Performance Racing Network and Host of Alltel Pit Reporters; and Bryan Hallman, Photographer, Fastrack Publishing.
