Sound & Speed Festival Set For January 9-10

The fourth annual Sound & Speed Festival, scheduled to take place in downtown Nashville, Tennessee January 9-10, 2009, promises hardcore race fans a great time for a great cause.

 

Some of the biggest names in NASCAR and country music have agreed to appear for autographs, story-telling and question-and-answer sessions during the two day festival.

 

Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Turner, Randy Houser, Rick Huckaby and Robert K. Oermann are among the country music artists who will be on hand along with NASCAR drivers Aric Almirola, David Stremme, Michael Waltrip, Reed Sorenson and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Racing personalities Kyle Petty, Winston Kelley, Sam Bass and Eli Gold are also slated to appear during the weekend.

 

A live concert with performances by Julianne Hough, Rodney Atkins and Montgomery Gentry will kick off festivities Friday evening at 8 p.m.

 

Fans can also enjoy show car and sponsor displays as well as participate in the charity memorabilia auction featuring items from the music and motorsports industries.
