Friday, 23 January 2009 08:49

Joe Gibbs Racing announced earlier this week that the Farm Bureau Insurance has made an agreement with the organization to serve as a primary sponsor in six Cup Series races in 2009.

"Farm Bureau Insurance has been an outstanding partner with us and we're thrilled to have them on these six Cup races this year," commented J.D. Gibbs, Joe Gibbs Racing President. "We were able to generate a lot of excitement for them last year and we'll work hard this year to provide their agents, members and customers a program to be proud of now in our Cup program."

The No. 11 Toyota driven by Denny Hamlin will carry the Farm Bureau Insurance logo at the May 9th race at Darlington Raceway and the September 6th event at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Hamlin's car will also carry the usual FedEx logo as an associate sponsor at the two races.

Rookie sensation Joey Logano will feature the logo at the October 25th race at Martinsville Speedway with The Home Depot serving as an associate sponsor.

For the remaining three races, Farm Bureau Insurance will provide primary sponsorship on the No. 02 Camry at the October 17th race at Lowe's Motor Speedway, the November 8th event at Texas Motor Speedway and the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 22nd. The driver of the No. 02 Toyota has yet to be decided and will be announced at a later date.
