Hall of Fame Racing has secured a five-race deal with Academy Sports + Outdoors to sponsor Bobby Labonte's No. 96 Ford Fusion. The deal will feature Academy Sports + Outdoors as a primary sponsor of Labonte's No. 96 starting with the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway

"I'm thrilled to have Academy Sports + Outdoors on the car this year," the 2000 Cup Series champion explained. "Being a Texas native I'm looking forward to working with a Houston-based company that is a leader in sports and outdoor equipment. I consider myself an outdoorsman so I'm excited to represent Academy this year."

"Our continued partnership with Yates Racing makes sense for Academy Sports + Outdoors and we welcome Hall of Fame to the relationship," Rodney Faldyn, President of Academy Sports + Outdoors added. "Many of Academy's loyal customers are huge NASCAR fans and our sponsorship is a way of supporting the sport they love. We look forward to another successful year with Yates Racing and with Bobby Labonte."

After making its NASCAR debut on the No. 96 Ford in Bristol, Academy Sports + Outdoor will also grace the hood of Labonte's ride at the Southern 500 in Darlington, Daytona for the Coke Zero 400 in July, the Pep Boys Auto 500 in Atlanta and finally at the Amp Energy 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway.
