Sunday, 08 February 2009 08:42

Scotts Miracle-Gro and Carter/Simo Racing have announced that they will provide sponsorship for Boris Said in the No. 08 Ford Fusion in the Daytona 500. The paint scheme of the No. 08 Ford will consist of the Scotts Bonus S Max Lawn Fertilizer logo, a scheme that has the company pumped up for Daytona.

“It is great to have an opportunity to team up with Boris Said for the Daytona 500 where he will be driving the Scotts Bonus S Max Ford Fusion,” noted Jim Shertzer, Event Marketing and Sponsorship Manager for ScottsMiracle-Gro.

A loyal customer to Scotts products, Said has competed in the Daytona 500 twice in his racing career. His best finish of 14th was attained in 2007 Daytona 500 driving a Gillett Evernham Dodge.

“I’m really happy that Scotts is on board for the 500,” stated Said. “Between using Scotts products on my lawn and helping Carl (Edwards) with his road racing efforts, I feel like I already have a strong relationship with Scotts. I’m thrilled to represent them over the next week.”
