With the Gatorade Duel 150s now in the books, the field is set for the 51st Daytona 500.  Martin Truex Jr. was able to survive a spin in the first race and will remain on the pole for Sunday's race. Outside pole-sitter Mark Martin led most of the second Duel, coming up just short of the win. Thirteen cars were unable to make the show, while AJ Allmendinger, Jeremy Mayfield, Scott Riggs and Tony Stewart raced their way into the show. Regan Smith, Bill Elliott and Travis Kvapil fell back on their qualifying times, while Terry Labonte got in thanks to the past champion provisional.
