The second practice session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has ended, and NASCAR's Most Popular Driver is atop the leader board. Turning a lap of 29.714 seconds at a speed of 181.733 miles per hour, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is showing the relilience of the No. 88 team after two frustrating weeks.
Hot on the leader's trail, Greg Biffle recorded a lap .028 seconds slower than Earnhardt Jr.'s at a speed of 181.561 miles per hour. Earnhardt Jr.'s Hendrick Motorsports teammate Mark Martin took the third spot with a time of 29.742 seconds and a top speed of 181.561 miles per hour.
