NASCAR fans in the Charlotte, N.C. area will be able to see some on-track action for free this Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Testing will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on each day with a break for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Four teams will be on hand for the two-day tire test, one from each manufacturer. Representing the Dodge camp will be defending Sprint All-Star and Coca-Cola 600 winner Kasey Kahne. Jimmie Johnson will circle Lowe’s home track in his No. 48 Chevrolet during the test. Marcos Ambrose will be making laps for the Toyotas, while Paul Menard is scheduled to represent the Fords.
For those Hardcore Race Fans looking to attend the two-day session, admission is free and you are asked to enter the frontstretch grandstands through Gate 5A next to the main ticket office. Those fans that already have a ticket to this year’s Sprint All-Star Race and/or the Coca-Cola 600 will be able to watch the practice from an infield grandstand on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those viewing from the infield will also be able to participate in a special fan forum with Kahne, Johnson, Ambrose and Menard from 12-1 p.m.
