Independent owner/driver Robby Gordon has joined with Polaris Industries in a marketing and product development agreement over the next three years. In addition to his NASCAR career, Gordon has also made quite a name for himself in the world of off-road racing and the manufacturing of off-road products.
Under the agreement, Gordon will provide “insight on future products” and will use his winning name to help promote Polaris’ RANGER RZR Side-by-Sides. The three-time Baja 1000 Trophy Truck winner brings the knowledge and expertise Polaris is looking for to help not only promote but also develop their products for years to come.
“I am very excited to be involved with Polaris,” Gordon pointed out. “They are the leading American manufacturer in consumer off-road vehicles. The RANGER RZR and the RANGER have set the standard in side-by-side vehicles. At Robby Gordon Off-road, we have built the fastest, most elite off-road vehicles in the world. We are excited to share this technology and knowledge with consumers through our partnership with Polaris.”
A multi-talented and determined racer, Gordon grew up going off-road racing, winning the first event he ever entered. Since then, Gordon has become a leading name in off-road racing. The 40-year-old racer has won a number of off-road championships, has three Baja 1000 Trophy Truck wins and was the first American-born racer to win a daily stage in the demanding Dakar Rally. Amazingly, Gordon accomplished most of these feats in equipment he built and prepared himself.
“Our relationship with Gordon is unique because he’ll not only promote our product but use his off-road expertise to help create future RANGER RZR vehicles and accessories,” Matt Homan, vice president and general manager for Polaris’ Off-Road Division explained. “Coupling Gordon’s expertise in building and racing off-road vehicles, with the hottest-selling side-by-sides will ensure the RANGER RZR product line continues to be an undisputed leader both on the racing scene and in the marketplace.”
