Busch Brothers, Kahne & Robby Gordon To Interact With Fans At PIR
Wednesday, 08 April 2009 08:12

kurt-buschIn an effort to bring Hardcore Race Fans closer to the stars they cheer on week-in and week-out, the Phoenix International Raceway will provide fans the opportunity to meet with four of the sport’s biggest names during the April 17-18 race weekend. Joining the activities in various forms on the weekend will be Kurt and Kyle Busch, Kasey Kahne and Robby Gordon.

Taking part in a new initiative launched by MRN and International Speedway Corporation, Atlanta-winner Kurt Busch will be featured on MRN at Full SPEED. A new Q&A fan forum held before the start of every Cup Series event held at an ISC-owned track, fans get the chance to ask some of the sport’s biggest names a few questions. Hosted by Mike Bagley, Busch will be the guest at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at the SPEED Stage. There will be additional drivers and NASCAR personalities featured on MRN at Full SPEED, however they have yet to be announced.

Always one to get the fans riled up, Kyle Busch will be taking part of a Fan Forum, along with spotter Jeff Dickerson, at the Budweiser ROLL-BAR. The younger Busch brother will also be at the track’s luxury lounge, Octane. Check PhoenixRaceway.com for Busch’s appearance times and dates.

For those fans looking to have a first class experience at the PIR, Octane offers full-service concierge and high end dining. At a price of $1900 per person for the three-day weekend, fans will enjoy unlimited food and drinks (including hand-carved meats, fresh pastas and a sushi bar), live music, wine tasting and other first class accommodations.

kasey-kahneFan-favorite Kasey Kahne will be on hand Friday, April 17, to help with the Grand Opening of the raceway’s new Budweiser ROLL-BAR. The driver of the No. 9 Budweiser Dodge will be on hand at the newest addition to the track facility from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday evening and once again on Saturday before the pre-race ceremonies. Saturday’s time will be announced at a later date on PhoenixRaceway.com.

Hardcore Race Fans can visit the Budweiser ROLL-Bar by purchasing tickets for $89 for Friday, April 17 and $139 for Saturday, April 18.  These tickets do not include admission to the race, so those tickets will have to be purchases separately.

Any time NASCAR heads to the West Coast, Robby Gordon’s fans show up in full force. The independent owner/driver from Orange, California will make an appearance at Octane around 7 p.m. during the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Friday, April 17. Prior to Saturday night’s Cup Series event, Gordon will spend some time with fans in the Trackside Club at 2 p.m.

Overlooking the track’s backstretch, the Trackside Club is only fifty-feet from the track and has a great view of all the action. An outdoor terrace providing an amazing view of the surrounding scenery, catered meals, pre-race pit passes, VIP parking and commemorative race tickets make the Trackside Club ticket one of the most unique in all of NASCAR. Trackside Club tickets for the entire weekend are $699.
