In a continuing effort to bring race fans closer to the sport they love, New Hampshire Motor Speedway has announced a limited number of tickets for the June 28 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 they will offer at the price of $39. The section of seats located in the Laconia Grandstand has been dubbed the LENOX Speed Zone.

“In conjunction with honoring the LENOX Extra Mile Heroes, we have the opportunity to also recognize the true heroes of our sport – the loyal race fans,” Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway pointed out.  “It is fitting that in these challenging economic times, the LENOX Speed Zone gives fans an incredible chance to be part of the largest sporting event in New England.”

Beginning last year, LENOX created the LENOX Extra Mile Hero program in an effort to recognize those that truly go the extra mile to help out. Customers were asked to submit stories of user and suppliers of industrial tools that went beyond the call of duty when it came to their community.

Judges reviewed over 600 nominations and narrowed the choices down to ten finalists. Each of the ten finalists has received $3,100, with the same amount going to a charity of their choice. The finalist that receives the most votes will win the Grand Prize of $31,000, with an additional $31,000 going to the charity of their choice. 

In addition to the Grand Prize, if Jeff Burton wins the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 on June 28, driving the No. 31 LENOX Industrial Tools Chevrolet, the prize will be increased to one million dollars and will be split between the winner and the charity of their choice.
