Qualifying Cancelled At Pocono
Friday, 05 June 2009 09:30

tony-stewartRain has won out once again, forcing NASCAR to cancel NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying at the Pocono Raceway. The field will be set according to the NASCAR rule book and the NASCAR owner points.

Tony Stewart will roll of Sunday from the top-spot with Jeff Gordon to his outside. Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman will round out the top-5.

Saturday will feature two practice sessions for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in preparation for the Pocono 500. Many drivers explained they enjoyed a down day at the track on Friday, but were eager to get out on the track come Saturday.

Kasey Kahne is the defending race winner and with the new double-file restart procedure in play this weekend, this Sunday’s race is one no Hardcore Race Fan will want to miss.

Be sure to check back to HardcoreRaceFans.com all weekend long for updates live from the Pocono Raceway.
