In order to notify Hardcore Race Fans of the best ways to preserve fuel during these rough economic times and summer season, the No. 77 Penske Racing Dodge will feature a special paint scheme at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend.
Sam Hornish Jr. will take command of the No. 77 Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy Dodge in this weekend’s LifeLock.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The special scheme was created to support its Drive $marter Challenge, which has an objective to improve fuel efficiency nationwide.
To provide Hardcore Race Fans entertainment and information, everyone will have the opportunity to observe The Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy NASCAR Challenge at Soldier Field in downtown Chicago on July 10. Penske Racing drivers Hornish Jr., Kurt Busch and David Stremme along with media personalities such as Dan Patrick and Dan Hampton (Chicago Bear Hall of Famer) will compete on a mini road course in Mobil 1-branded Smart cars. Hornish Jr. said, “One tip I’ll be sharing that weekend--using Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel economy can deliver up to a 2 percent fuel economy improvement, which, over the life of a vehicle, can save over $400 in fuel costs.” MORE NASCAR NEWS
