In this weekend’ LifeLock.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway, a $1 million bonus is up for the taking. However, only two drivers are able to secure the bonus prize.

In June Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon earned a 1-2 finish for Hendrick Motorsports, with Martin taking the checkered in the LifeLock 400 at Michigan International Speedway. If the duo can amass another 1-2 punch they will be granted the $1 million bonus cash.

“I’d love for that to occur,” said Gordon. “After his Daytona weekend, I think Mark wants a good, strong performance this weekend.

“And a second-place finish behind me can earn him a lot of points and a lot of dough,” Gordon gagged. “We can’t afford to spot him too many bonus points before the Chase begins, so I’d prefer he finish second in this instance.”

With one win, one pole, four top-5’s and five top-10’s at Chicagoland, Gordon is a serious threat to take the win.

Due to his success this year in the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, it is safe to say that the seasoned veteran is capable of proving his past statistics wrong and living up to his end of the bargain.

Concluding his joke, Gordon noted, “Seriously, I think Mark will be one of the drivers contending for the win this weekend and I hope we are battling him for that position.”

“I’m really looking forward to Saturday night’s race,” stated Gordon, who will drive a specially painted No. 24 DuPont/National Guard Chevrolet this weekend. “I feel our intermediate track program has really turned a corner this year.”
