Stewart-Haas Racing had another good run Saturday night at Chicagoland with current NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points leader Tony Stewart finishing fourth and his teammate Ryan Newman coming home sixth.

"When you have two cars fourth and sixth, you can't call it a bad night," Stewart commented. "They (Ryan Newman) got back there in the beginning and it looks like they worked back up there. I'm really proud of both of these teams for fighting as hard as they did tonight."

The two-time champion and 50% team owner of Stewart-Haas Racing drove his Chevrolet back through the field twice after encountering problems during the LifeLock.com 400.

"I'll take a fourth-place tonight, given where we were with 30 to go," Stewart said. "It was up and down. We were solid and kept picking our way to the front and got ourselves up to third at one point. We got really loose and fell back to sixth and we came in for a pit stop and we had a little hiccup in the pits and got behind. Then we cut a tire when we came out of the pits after another stop after the big wreck down there in (turn) one. We ran through some debris. We were able to rebound from that and I'm really proud of the Office Depot/Old Spice guys for that. It was a strong effort."

Stewart-Haas teammate Ryan Newman made up some ground on the leaders late in the race to post a sixth place finish, snapping a four race streak without a top-10.

"It was a great rebound for us and a good points day," said Newman, who recorded his ninth top-10 finish of the year. "The guys did a great job, especially on pit road."

Newman suffered with handling problems for the first half of the race. His crew continued to make adjustments to the Army sponsored Chevrolet during pit stops, setting him up for his third consecutive top-10 at the Chicagoland Speedway.

"At best we had a 10th-place car today," Newman added. "And it looked like we were in more trouble early in the race as we were fighting to stay in the top-20. We'll take the strong sixth-place finish. It was a strong Army-like effort of getting the most out of what we had."
