As reported by the Associated Press, NASCAR is still evaluating Jeremy Mayfield’s most recent drug test.
Usually needing about four days to fully analyze a sample, the program administrator Dr. David Black states that the test will be finished by Friday at the latest. Disputing NASCAR’s drug test program, Mayfield was granted a temporary injunction giving him the opportunity to compete in NASCAR’s top division again but has yet to participate in a race.
"I just don't think there's anything to report right now. I did not come to work (Friday) expecting we'd get the results," Mayfield’s attorney John Buric said. "But then again, I'm a lawyer, and I can wait a year for a ruling. So I am never too surprised when things take time. I wouldn't read too much into it, honestly." MORE NASCAR NEWS
