With the final practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series concluded at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it was the 50 year old that went out on top by amassing a best lap of 49.82 and a top speed of 180.643 miles per hour. Without a win in his career at 'The Brickyard' Mark Martin has one heck of a season pushing him to his first win at the track. With a lap of 49.84 seconds and a peak speed of 180.581 miles per hour, Montoya beat his best lap in the first session by 1.114 seconds. Kasey Kahne took the third spot with a fast lap of 49.93 seconds and a high speed of 180.245 miles per hour. Following Kahne were Kevin Harvick and Reed Sorenson who concluded the top-5.
