In the same fashion as the Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver that lead Friday's final practice collected the pole for their respected event.

After amassing a best lap of 49.436 seconds and a top speed of 182.054 miles per hour, Mark Martin took the pole for Sunday's 16th Running of the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard.

With the momentum of a strong season pushing him into Sunday's race, Martin may be on the way to his first victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Peicing together second place runs in both of Friday's practice sessions, Juan Pablo Montoya kept his streak rolling after qualifying in the second position. Running a special paint scheme to celebrate his Indy 500 win in 2000, Montoya seems to have his past success propelling him into the event at the Brickyard.

2008's Most Popular Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. showed some promise by collecting the third starting spot, with Bill Elliott and David Reutimann rounding out the top-5.

Brian Vickers, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Reed Sorenson and Clint Bowyer summed up the top-10.

Defending winner of the race, Jimmie Johnson, will start 16th.
