Prices for nearly every seat at Darlington Raceway have been slashed for the 2010 Southern 500 NASCAR event in order to be more affordable for hardcore race fans. “We are always looking at ways to make attending a race at Darlington more affordable for our fans,” Darlington Raceway President Chris Browning said. “The new pricing structure makes the 2010 Southern 500 an even better value for NASCAR fans who love to see fender-banging, side-by-side racing and non-stop action.”
The new ticket pricing will affect four out of the five grandstands at the track “Too Tough to Tame.” Prices in the Wallace Grandstand (rows 3-6) have been lowered from $85 to $59; the biggest savings, at $26. The Colvin Grandstand (rows 15-21) has been reduced from $70 to $59, while the Pearson and Brasington Grandstands have been lowered from $95 to $90. Also, fans that renew their tickets by September 18th, 2009 will save an extra $5 on each ticket they purchase. The Darlington Raceway Premium Payment Plan will again be returning next year. This allows fans to purchase tickets and spread the payments out over four months when they use a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express for the purchase. Hardcore race fans that are not eligible for a renewal but would like to purchase tickets may put in a seat request on the speedway’s website or by calling the ticket office at 866-459-RACE.
