Casey Mears will be running a special “snow camo” paint scheme on his No. 07 Jack Daniel’s Chevy this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The special design is in honor of the Jack Daniel’s USO Salute to the Troops Stuffing Party that will be taking place at the track on Saturday afternoon. This will be the fifth year Jack Daniel’s has been involved with the program but this will be the first time the party is being held somewhere other than a military base.

“This is just one of the many great things Jack Daniel’s does for our troops,” Mears said. “The people who are serving overseas to protect our freedom are doing it every day of their lives.  I think it is great Jack Daniel’s is holding a Stuffing Party during a race weekend. You can’t ask for more patriotic people than NASCAR fans.”

The goal of the Stuffing Party is to prepare 10,000 care packages for deployed troops. Team owner Richard Childress and teammates Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton and Mears alongside NASCAR president Mike Helton and the 3rd, 278th Armored Calvary Regiment of the Tennessee National Guard will lend a helping hand in filling the packages.

Hardcore race fans in attendance at Bristol will be able to stop by the Jack Daniel’s Experience, located at the Earhart Campground near Turn 2, to fill out a personal “Salute” to be put into one of the packages.

The Sharpie 500 will be Mears’ 14th-career start at BMS. The race broadcast is scheduled to begin Saturday evening at 6:30pm ET on ESPN.
