Dover International Speedway officials have announced AAA Mid-Atlantic will be the title sponsor of it's upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on September 27, 2009, the AAA 400. AAA Mid-Atlantic has agreed to the title sponsorship of Dover's September race date through 2015.

"Sponsorship of the Sprint Cup race is natural since AAA was involved in motorsports at its inception," said Don Gagnon, President and Chief Executive Officer of AAA Mid-Atlantic. "Safety enhancements in the cars we drive today started on the racetrack and our motorsports sponsorships can help further advances in automotive design and safety.  Because most drivers love their cars and many are big motorsports fans this can be an excellent venue to deliver important safety messaging to the driving public."

AAA Mid-Atlantic currently sponsors the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza, presented by AAA and is also the Official Auto Club and Home, Life, and Automobile Insurance of Dover International Speedway.

Dover will host three days of racing in September, the Sunoco 150 NASCAR Camping World Series race on September 25, 2009, the NASCAR Nationwide Series event on September 26, 2009 and the AAA 400 Sprint Cup race on Sunday, September 27, 2009, which will be stop number two of the 10 race "Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup."
