Kyle Busch plans to give hardcore race fans a little more insight into his personally this weekend.
Bristol Motor Speedway has given the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers the opportunity to play a song of their choice during their driver introduction prior to the Sharpie 500. Busch’s pick? “Amazing” by Kanye West. With lyrics like ‘It’s amazing, I’m the reason, Everybody fired up this evening’ it is not hard to understand why cocky Kyle would pick that song.
The night race at Bristol Motor Speedway is always a favorite event on the series’ schedule because it is exciting and over the top. This weekend’s event will mark the 55th consecutive sell-out the track has had for a Sprint Cup event proving that hardcore race fans love see the NASCAR stars on the .533-mile bowl-shaped track. The new twist on driver introductions will certainly please the fans in attendance. AC/DC is the most popular band chosen, their hit “Thunderstruck” will play while Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson and David Ragan take the stage. Jamie McMurray chose their tune “Shook Me All Night Long” for his introduction and Mark Martin selected the group’s “For Those About to Rock.” The drivers are really showing their individuality with their choices that span the entire musical spectrum, from “Jump Around” by ‘90’s hip-hop group House of Pain, chosen by Carl Edwards, to Ryan Newman’s pick “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” by country music stars Big & Rich. Clint Bowyer is paying homage to The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll by choosing his song “C.C. Rider” while Reed Sorenson has chosen “Billy Jean” as a tribute to “The King of Pop” Michael Jackson. Other songs include “Life On The Run” by Dierks Bentley for Kasey Kahne, “Bawitdaba” by Kid Rock for Tony Stewart and David Stremme, “Boom, Boom, Pow” by Black Eyed Peas for Scott Speed and Godsmack’s “The Enemy” for Matt Kenseth. Australian-native Marcus Ambrose chose “Land Down Under” by Men at Work. But no song will delve into the driver’s personality like Busch’s pick. With a chorus of ‘And no matter what, you'll never take that from me, My reign is as far as your eyes can see’ it is no secret how Busch feels about himself. MORE NASCAR NEWS
