The deadline of August 31st for the “Show Your Mobil 1” fan challenge is quickly approaching.

The contest involves fans creating their own 30 second commercial expressing the connection between NASCAR and Mobil1. The winning video will be broadcast during a NASCAR event in 2010.

The contest officially began on August 1st and once the deadline passes, a panel of judges will review all submissions and choose five finalists. Each finalist will receive a $1,000 Mobil 1 gift card.

Between September 14th and November 15th, registrants on ShowYourMobil1.com will be able to view all five videos and vote for the winner. Daily prizes will be given away to voters including Stadium Kits, gift cards and spectator cooler chairs.

In addition to having the video broadcast, the winner will also receive a trip for two to a NASCAR-sanctioned event next year, a flat-screen TV and a catered view party for 15 friends to watch the spot air live.

The winner will be announced in late November.
