After being the fastest in the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway yesterday, taking the pole for Sunday’s Sylvania 300 and setting a new track record, Juan Pablo Montoya kept up his hot streak by topping the second practice session speed charts.
He ran a fast lap of 29.269 seconds at 130.131mph.
His teammate at Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, Martin Truex Jr., was right behind him on the charts after running a 29.316 second lap at 129.922 mph. Current series points leader Mark Martin ended the session in 3rd followed by David Stemme in 4th and his fellow Hendrick M 
otorsports teammate and defending champion Jimmie Johnson in 5th. Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle, Bobby Labone and Kasey Kahne rounded out the top-10. The Sprint Cup Series is scheduled to run their final practice session later today and it will be broadcast via tape delay on ESPN2 at 6:30pm ET.
