Juan Pablo Montoya has dominated all of the on-track NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in preparation for tomorrow’s Sylvania 300. His fast lap in the final Cup Series practice session of 29.214 seconds at 130.376mph put him on top of the speed charts in his No. 42 Target Chevy.
Once again, Montoya’s teammate at Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, Martin Truex Jr., ended up on his heels. Truex ended happy hour in 2nd place with a lap time of 29.334 seconds. Chase for the Sprint Cup contenders Kurt Busch, Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson finished the session 3rd, 4th, and 5th, respectively. Dale Earnhardt Jr. managed to get into the top-10 on the speed charts in the final practice session. In the first two practices, Earnhardt finished 30th and 24th. He ended up 6th in his No. 88 AMP Energy/ National Guard Chevrolet. Denny Hamlin and Jeff Gordon were 7th and 8th, respectively, followed by Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart.
