Darlington Raceway is set to host the second annual Darlington Historic Racing Festival presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts, on September 26-27, 2009.  The event consist of numerous displays of stock cars, Indy roadsters, champ cars, midgets and modifieds.  Hardcore race fans can see the legendary cars and drivers that made racing the spectacle it is today. 

The Darlington Historic Racing Festival is a two day event featuring question and answer sessions with legendary racing personalities, exhibition laps by over 100 historic race cars and autograph sessions.

Cale Yarbrough, David Pearson, Humpy Wheeler and racing legend Johnny Rutherford will each take part in this two day event, they will participate in a fan forum question and answer session as well as an autograph session.

"Cale, David and Humpy have all done so much for our sport," said Browning. "Having them at the second annual Darlington Historic Racing Festival will be a real treat for the fans and entrants at the event."

"I'm looking forward to being back at my home track, Darlington Raceway," said Yarborough. "I enjoyed my time there in May for the Southern 500 and I'm looking forward to being there for the Darlington Historic Racing Festival in September."

"Having Johnny Rutherford, a three-time Indy 500 Champion, at the Darlington Historic Racing Festival presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts will be a special treat for our fans," said Browning. "Victories in racing's most prestigious events will be well represented with our current schedule of legends with nine Southern 500 victories, seven Daytona 500 victories and three Indy 500 victories between Cale Yarborough, David Pearson, Ned Jarrett, Junior Johnson, Marvin Panch and Johnny Rutherford."

Autograph sessions will start at 12pm and end at 4pm each day.  The personalities who will take place in these sessions are:  Cale Yarborough, Junior Johnson, Marvin Panch, Ray Fox, Ned Jarrett, Charlie Glotzbach, Reb Wickersham, Johnny Rutherford, Bud Moore, Waddell Wilson, David Pearson, Leonard Wood, Donnie Allison, Rex White, Humpy Wheeler and Jim Hunter.
