Jimmie Johnson will start from the pole in Sunday’s AAA 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the Dover International Speedway after recording a speed of 157.356 mph in qualifying this afternoon.

Juan Pablo Montoya qualified second with a lap of 156.699 mph and will start from the outside of the front row.

Ryan Newman, Greg Biffle, and David Reutimann will start third, fourth, and fifth.

44 cars took time in today’s qualifying session with Scott Wimmer not making the field for Sunday’s race.
