When William H.G. France left his son in charge of NASCAR, Bill France Jr. had some big shoes to fill, but he was not intimidated by the challenge and he managed to hit the ground running.

 

France Jr. took the sport of NASCAR to new heights. Just a few of his accomplishments include putting NASCAR races on television and securing a title sponsorships for NASCAR’s premier divisions.

 

With his guidance, the sport became America’s second most popular sport and the leading motorsport series.

 

He was a visionary whose ideas and plans will affect and improve NASCAR for years to come.
