Hall Of Fame Nominees – Junior Johnson
Wednesday, 30 September 2009 23:00

Robert Glenn “Junior” Johnson is one of NASCAR’s greatest drivers and car owners.

He got his experience behind the wheel after running moonshine and when he turned that skill to the NASCAR circuit, Johnson was unstoppable. He won 50 Cup races in his career including the second annual Daytona 500.

After having so much success, it was quite surprising when Johnson decided to get out of the car and became a team owner. But his success never waned.

Over the years, Johnson’s drivers, including Cale Yarborough and Darrell Waltrip, won 132 races and six championships.

His skill behind the wheel and his business savvy have made him one of the most successful men in NASCAR history.
