Country music star Trace Adkins will perform the national anthem prior to the start of the Dollar General 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Lowe's Motor Speedway Friday, October 16, 2009.

A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2003, Adkins has recorded 14 Top 10 singles including his latest hit, "All I Ask For Anymore." His albums have achieved gold or multi-platinum status including three that made their entry at No. 1 on the Country Album Charts.

Adkins is scheduled to visit today with Glen Beck on his daily radio show and will appear as a featured guest this evening on his television show. The country music star will also appear on the #1 rated cable morning news show FOX & FRIENDS Tuesday, October 6 on the FOX News Channel. Adkins will perform an acoustic version of his latest hit single on the set of FOX & FRIENDS tomorrow morning.

Dollar General is offering a deal to Charlotte-area hardcore race fans who would like to attend the Dollar General 300. With a receipt from select North Carolina and South Carolina Dollar General stores dated Sept. 1 through Oct. 10, 2009, customers who purchase two tickets to the NASCAR Banking 500 only from Bank of America , which are available at a special price of $40 each, will receive two free tickets to the Dollar General 300.
