Since Auto Club Speedway is so close to Hollywood, this weekend’s NASCAR racing events will be full of celebrities.
The band Foreigner will give fans attending the Pepsi 500 on Friday a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in the live music video shoot for Foreigner’s “Can’t Slow Down”.

“I have always been a diehard Formula One fan, but recently I had a NASCAR revelation. Now, as our new song says I ‘Can't Slow Down’. I have become a huge NASCAR fan and try to catch as many races as I can,” Foreigner’s Mick Jones said. “NASCAR fans are our kind of people and that’s why we have chosen to film our new music video at Auto Club Speedway. I'm really looking forward to our future affiliation with a great community and hope everyone will come out to the Pepsi 500.” Fans can go to the Opportunity, California FanZone at 10:15am local time on Sunday October 11th to be a part of the video shoot. Two Hollywood celebrities will serve as the Honorary Starters for both the NASCAR Nationwide Series and Sprint Cup Series races.
Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, will wave the green flag for Saturday’s Copart 300. She is currently competing on the television show “Dancing with the Stars” and has also ventured into radio projects, musical theatre and fashion. Reality television star Audrina Patridge from MTV’s “The Hills” will be the Starter for Sunday’s Sprint Cup Pepsi 500. Patridge has also made her silver screen debut with a role in the horror film “Sorority Row” and will have her own reality series beginning next year. This will be the first time that the California race track has hosted a Chase for the Sprint Cup race so between that excitement and the allure of Hollywood stars, this race weekend promises to be a must-see for hardcore race fans.
