NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and Chase for the Sprint Cup contender Carl Edwards is headed to the warm, sunny, south Florida weather for a sightseeing tour to promote next month’s Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the final stop on the Sprint Cup circuit where this year’s champion will be crowned.
Edwards will board the Duct Tours Miami land/sea vehicle along with members of the local media for a tour with South Beach, the Art Deco District, Fisher Island, Millionaire’s Row and the MacArthur Causeway as potential destinations.
The boat will depart at 1:30pm local time from Jungle Island and Edwards will be available for interviews and photos. This is the first year that Homestead-Miami Speedway will play host to all of North America’s premier motorsports championships. The IndyCar, Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car and Firestone Indy Lights series will wrap up their season at Homestead on October 9th and 10th. Then, NASCAR’s top-three divisions will crown their champions at the track November 20th through the 22nd. MORE NASCAR NEWS
