After winning his 46th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, tying him with Buck Baker for 13th place for all-time wins, Jimmie Johnson discussed his record book stats and potential dangers facing his team in the upcoming weeks.

Johnson now has six wins at Lowe’s Motor Speedway which ties him with Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip for the most at that track. He also is the first driver to win three of the first five Chase for the Sprint Cup races in a season and has now won 17 of the 55 Chase races since its inception.

But, records do not mean immunity from on-track incidents.

Johnson is clearly determined to win his fourth consecutive Sprint Cup championship, a new record of its own, but he understands that the upcoming tracks can still make or break his quest for the title.
