las-vegasRichmond International Raceway announced Tuesday that one lucky fan will be chosen to attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Banquet in Las Vegas on December 4th.

Contestants need to create a one to three minute video explaining why they should be a fan reporter at the season ending awards ceremony.

Specifically, RIR is requesting that each video contain a compelling description of why you should be the fan reporter, your most memorable moment at Richmond International Raceway, and a demonstration of your out-going personality that will make for an entertaining on-camera performance.

In addition, entrants need to be able to bring and operate their own video camera, record video chronicling the events of your weekend at the awards banquet, participate in pre- and post-event promotions, participate in television interviews as requested and release all video captured that weekend to Richmond International Raceway.

If you are a hardcore race fan, submit your video at http://www.rir.com/Vanity-Pages/NASCAR-Awards-Ceremony.aspx.

The winner will be selected by a committee at RIR and the winner will receive two tickets to the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Banquet, roundtrip airfare from their closest major airport, hotel accommodations at the Wynn Las Vegas and $500 spending money. Also, the winner and his or her guest will be invited to a pre-ceremony reception and will walk the “Red Carpet” prior to the ceremony.

The deadline for the contest is November 13th.
