Ryan Newman currently sits 7th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings. He has moved up from his original 10th place position at the beginning of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
As the teams prepare for Talladega, Newman is looking for more.
He understands the sport and with the changes in the restrictor plates and other safety improvements Talladega Superspeedway has made he knows the race this weekend will be unique.
And, as always, 2010 is beginning to loom large in his mind.
