NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points leader Jimmie Johnson, his teammate Jeff Gordon who is currently 3rd in points, 6th place Kurt Busch, 8th place Ryan Newman and 9th place Kasey Kahne are all thinking speed as they head to Texas.
As the drivers and teams prepare for this weekend’s Dickies 500, they know they need good, solid finishes at the 1.5-mile track in order to stay alive in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
These drivers have been thinking about Texas for a while, some since last year following a disappointing finish, and as it nears they are ready to tame the track in the Lone Star State.
