McKnight, Lifehouse and Sgt. Slaughter At PIR

brian-mcknightIn addition to Senator John McCain acting as Grand Marshal for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway, the weekend will be full of performers and celebrity appearances.

 

Interscope Geffen recording artists Lifehouse will perform their hits including “First Time”, “You and Me”, and “Hanging By A Moment” at 11am local time on the Budweiser ROLL-BAR Stage.

 

Then, just prior to the green flag for the Checker O’Reilly Auto Parts 500, R&B star Brian McKnight will perform the National Anthem. McKnight is a 16-time Grammy nominee.

 

Other entertainment events throughout the weekend include performances by HairForce, Tickle, Harry Luge Jr., China Grove: The Doobie Brothers Experience and TNT: The AC/DC Show.

In addition to the musical talents, the WWE’s Sgt. Slaughter will pay a visit to PIR as an honorary race official for Sunday’s race as well as the honorary pace car driver for Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series Able Body Labor 200.

 

The appearance is to help promote WrestleMania XXVI, which will take place in Glendale next March.
