Hardcore race fans in the Charlotte, North Carolina area deciding to put a real Christmas tree up this holiday season have the opportunity to help look after children in need by participating in the Speedway Children’s Charities annual Christmas Tree Sale.
The sale began on November 24 and is located across the street from Lowe’s Motor Speedway’s main entrance at the Windy Ridge Tree Lot. In addition to the Fraser Fir Christmas trees being sold, Hardcore race fans also have the option to purchase wreaths, garland, bows and tree stands. A portion of the earnings will go to help children in need.
Windy Ridge will have their tree sale through Wednesday, December 16. Hours for the lot are 9am to 9pm on Monday through Saturday, and 12pm through 9pm on Sundays. "It's great to team up with Windy Ridge again to offer area residents a way to purchase items for the holidays and give back to the community for a worthy cause at the same time," said director of Speedway Children's Charities Charlotte Chapter, Amanda Hollingsworth. "We raise thousands of dollars with this sale each year, and hope to continue that tradition again this year."
